I have no new finishes to report but want to tell you what my next project will be , a new bed for this guy ,poor fellow needs a more comfortable place to sleep and I happen to have just the perfect fabric to make him a huge dog bed ,it needs to be huge as he is a pretty big boy ;-0 .He is a labradoodle ,a fun dog with lots of energy and loves the water , bet you didn't guess that . I have chosen a dark plaid drapery fabric that has been in my stash for a long time and this is the perfect use for it so time to start cutting and sewing . This picture is from last summer and the river wouldn't look quite like that this morning , you would definetly see some ice floating .

Another finish
I'm on a roll , I have finished not one but two more projects and this next picture is of the Convergence table topper that I had taken a class with our local quilt guild in September and I finally got around to finishing it , it was one of those projects that didn't really appeal to me and it was hard to go back and complete but I forced myself to get it off the pile ;-) The second little finish is the other redwork I had done just after Christmas , I know it is a Christmas stitchery but I didn't have time before Christmas and I really wanted to do it so again I made myself get it done . I added a couple of borders and presto I have a cute little hanging !

view out my window today
This picture is of the view on my deck today after a light snowfall overnight and a cold sunny morning at -15C. It is so nice to see the sun it makes the cold easier to take . We placed our Christmas tree out on the deck for the birds to enjoy and a place to hang an extra feeder .
I'm working on a fall table topper that I started in early Oct and had planned on using for Thanksgiving , that was wishful thinking but hey I will be real early for this years Thanksgiving right! I hope to post pictures of that real soon , a little more quilting to be done and then of course the binding .

Debbie Mumm BOM 2009
I thought I would show you what I am presently working on , this Debbie Mumm BOM for 2009 , called "Natural Wonders ". I have the sashings all sewn on now and am starting the narrow border and then the final wider border , my plans are to machine quilt this myself , wish me luck.
Prayer Of Serenity cushion
Here you will see my first finish for January , this cushion was made for a special friend who recently lost a son in an automobile accident . The pattern was one I found in Australian Country Threads Stitchey ,vol 9no.3and was designed by Jacky Ayres , I love this pattern and I'm pleased with the results .
It is snowing and blowing here today , a good day to sew ;-)
