Tuesdays Treasures

Today I thought I would share this hand carved purple finch , I love purple finches and this lovely bird was carved by a local artist Tom Gollin and is extremely well done . I love birds and we feed them on a regular basis and it is always a real treat when a purple finch arrives . For more Tuesdays Treasures head on over to visit with Melody at The house on the side of the hill .Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of this wonderful day . hugs Sheila

  3. Your carving is exquisite. I haven't heard of a purple finch but if the carving is an example then it is a very beautiful bird indeed. Thank you so much for sharing it with us all.

  10. Ohh what a lovely looking bird!! No purple finches here in Holland. We also feed the birds, they are eating our heads of hihi, especially those green parrots! Used to be an exotic bird but there are flocks of them, they adjusted so wel to Dutch winters! have a nice day, hugs, Daniëlle
