Sucha sweet little guy and then of course it wouldn't be Christmas without the Jolly ol' man himself so this became my second block from the same pattern.
And here is Santa after I completed the stitching .
This pattern is such fun .
My time was rather limited with family visiting but I did manage a block ,this one is a wreath just in case you think it is an owl like my granddaughter did ;-)
I also did this little stitchery which is not quite finished , the binding needs sewing down but for now a glue stick did the magic . This is a Gail Pan design ,a freebie a few years ago

Hi Sheila wonderful applique...My favorite is the Santa since I love to collect Santa's....My favorite thing about Christmas is really the season itself. It just seams like starting at Thanksgiving until after the New Year people are lighthearted and the whole atmosphere is just allot of laughter and cheer and good wishes. ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about Christmas is giving unexpected gifts- my niece (age 10) and I gave out candy canes to everyone we met - the checker at the store, the bell ringer, the cart pusher,the hostess at the restuarant, etc when we went on a trip last year after thanksgiving and it was so much fun.
