Here is the quilt

This is the quilt I bought at Frenchies for $2 this afternoon , if you look closely at the right hand corner you will see a stain , well there are a couple of those but otherwise it is in ok shape , it is pretty in these pastels and was probably purchased at a store such as the Pan Handler and is hand made and hand quilted but was not an expensive quilt. I do like it however and I am pleased with my purchase .I may place it on the round table in our bedroom for the spring , all these pastel colors will brighten the room . It has been washed twice in hopes of removing the stains but I am afraid they are permanent now .Thanks for the visit .
hugs Sheila

  5. I have heard that natural yoghurt will remove dye runs so it may work for the stain. Gorgeous quilt regardless

  8. Hi Sheila! Sorry I've been "absent" for a little while. That quilt is so pretty...I love those pastels and you sure can't beat the price! There are a couple of things I use to remove stains from fabrics when I purchase vintage or used items. One is Biz. A good soak (usually overnight) takes out a lot of dirt and stains in fabrics. The other is Fels Naptha Soap. That stuff is great. But, if all else fails, I think Betsy's idea is a good one!

  15. If they are small stains, why not sew some buttons over them...it would embellish the quilt and hide the spots!
