Only two blooms to report this week , it was a busy week and very little stitching got done . I've been cleaning and rearranging my sewing room and it sure looks a lot better than it did a few days ago , amazing how much mess a person can make when trying to rearrange but it was all worth the effort in the end . Hope your garden is blooming well this week ;-)
Sheila

ReplyDeleteGood for you~all your hard work has paid off with your sewing room.
Oh how I need to do the great sewing room makeover. sigh! I'll wurry bout that tuhmorruh! :)
Two pretty ones and better than nothing.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila,
ReplyDeleteAt my blog you asked me how I used the silk in my hexagons. I use duoppion silk, not too heavy.
Then I use the way to hold the fabric like this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gePOfMiIxQ
and the way to stich it when folded like this http://beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/2010/04/hexie-paper-piecing-tutorial.html I sort of made a mix and that is how I piece all my hexagons, including the silk. I only cut the fabric on the marking line and the silk just outside the marking line so the seam is a little, very little, bit larger.
Hope this helps, by and thanks for asking.
