In the first photo you will see three flowers , yesterday I took a class on making these folded flowers at our quilt guild , what did I learn , well I learned you need more fingers , it was very difficult to manipulate the folding , pressing and refolding all at the same time ,however I was determined to finish the flowers , we made two of the hexagon shape and I could only stay long enough to make one of the eight sided flower ,I beleive they also tried a twelve sided but I didn't see one completed . It was a fun class and a great way to learn a little extra patience ;-)
I did manage to make three flowers this week and now I have a total of 25 flowers so my garden is growing , not in leaps and bounds but still growing . I haven't yet decided how I will put them all together but I will think about that tomorrow ;-) I hope everyone's garden is blooming well .
Happy Gardening !
Sheila
A very pretty flower garden growing at your place. Thanks for coming by my blog.
ReplyDeleteThe folded flowers look really good, but very fiddly ! I received your letter yesterday, it was nice to sit down for 5 minutes with a cup of tea and read it through. Your was posted at the beginning of the week so should be with you soon. Maria x
ReplyDeleteOh Sheila, I love all of your flowers. Those vintage/vintage-look fabrics are so beautiful. I can't wait to see what you finally decide to make from them!
