Can you see those tiny stitches , yes it is entirely done by hand , isn't that amazing , great job Gemma I admire your handskills . Thanks so much for a great block to add to my growing stash .
I also promised to give you an update on my project , now this picture may look a little wonky but you must realize it is not completely sewn together yet , must add the sashing rows between the blocks and this is just sitting on my design wall for now but hopefully by the end of today that will be a completed top as time is a wasting and this has a ways to travel so I must not take too long getting it completed . How do you like the little happy faces on the flowers , that is what really drew me into making this in the first place , this has been on my list of things to do for a few years now ,since 2008 to be exact as this is from a Fons and Porter Easy Quilts magazine from the summer of 2008. I think it is such a cute quilt and hope the recipient likes it too.
Am I concentrating on just this today you ask, heck no , you know me better than that , I have this idea in my head that must first be dealt with, have you ever done any flower pounding , well that is what I hope to do for a short time this afternoon ,wish me luck and if it works I will let you know ;-)
Oh before I go I must mention one of my favorite bloggers is having a great giveaway , Melody of The House on the Side of the Hill is celebrating one year of blogging and wants to show her appreciation for all the blogging friends she has made by giving some lucky person a gift each month for the next year along with a gift certificate. ,if you are not aware of Melody's blog you are really missing out as she is a very talented lady and has such an interesting blog ,so be sure to make a visit and I'm sure if it is your first visit it won't be your last .
