Tuesdays Treasures

I was finishing up a little project that needed buttons and when I reached for my button jar I thought , here is the perfect thing for Tuesdays Treasures .I  LOVE buttons  , I have several containers with buttons of all kinds and shapes so this is a sampling only of my button collection , what are you treasuring today ?

  5. Ah buttons! I don't have a button jar but my mom had one when I was little. I remember dumping out that jar, sorting and inspecting all of them. Over and over. I loved adding to that jar too! Guess I should start my own button jar!

  6. Buttons! I have loads of them, stored in several tins and baskets.
    My mum used her buttons not only for sewing, but also to teach us sorting things and counting! Was always a pleasure, sitting at the table with a cup of tea, close to mummy. Sweet sweet memories.

    I just started to collect 4"x 4" fabric scraps to make a thimble quilt.

    Your button display reminds me of staying with my Nan - her button jar provides hours of fascination.

  15. Good button collections are real treasures alright! I have mine nicely sorted into little jars but I think I'm going to throw them into one nice glass jar... they will look much nicer!
